About me
From the mountains...
I grew up in Placerville, California. A small town on the edge of the El Dorado National Forest in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I started playing bassoon in middle school and took an interest in music theory my senior year of high school.
While in the Desert...
I completed my BM in bassoon performance with Dr. Albie Micklich in addition to a BM in music theory with principal teachers Dr. Kristina Knowles and Dr. Amy Holbrook. While in the Phoenix area I taught marching band, private bassoon lessons, sold reeds, and started my journey with composition.
Currently In the Bayou...
I am currently pursuing a masters degree in bassoon performance at Louisiana State University with Dr. Nanci Belmont. In addition to my bassoon studies, I am working towards a minor in composition and am freelancing in the Baton Rouge area.
